After a bartender is found and captured by a massive corporation, he is pushed into a mysterious machine called "The Animus." The Animus forces captives to recall the memories of their own ancestors. Those who are captured are suspected to be related to skilled assassins and are sent back in time to relive their ancestral pasts to capture dangerous artifacts that bring power and fortune to the corporation. As the Animus sends captive back in time, mysterious powers and assassination skills are rediscovered.
