Moises and 13 other immigrants are attempting a harsh and stressful trip through the desert because they are trying to travel across the Mexican-American border. When their truck breaks down, the people must struggle to survive the dangerous environment. Their journey becomes even more dangerous when vigilantes from the United States attack. Instead of merely attempting to stop illegal immigration, the pack of gunmen intend to hunt down and kill the stranded group. Moises' group starts to fear that they will not be able to survive either the cruelties of nature or the terrible actions of human beings.
