Every Christmas, Christians share with children and others the story of the birth of their savior Jesus Christ who slept in a manger in a stable when his parents could find no rooms at the local inn. This is an extension of that same story, but told from an entirely new perspective: Right before that first Christmas, Bo, a mill donkey, escapes enslavement. During his travels, he meets a dove named Dave, a sheep named Ruth and many other domesticated animals who, along with three camels and the wise men they carry, follow a particularly bright star in the heavens.
