In this updated version of classic films on demonic possession, the normal forces of good in the form of priests who perform exorcisms have met their match. Catholic priests are thwarted in a case of unusually strong demon possession in a child, so they turn to mainstream science for help. The frightening task of rooting out a powerful demon falls to a psychologist who must enter into the subconscious mind of the child to battle a Satanic minion from Hell. The result is an epic struggle between good and evil, science and faith.
